CIGAR LIGHTER
Push inward on the lighter knob to heat the element. When ele,ment is hot, the lighter will automatically pop out with an audible click. Do not hold it in the "in" position.
ASH RECEIVER
Pull out with the help of the knob. To remove for cleaning, press down on the ash disc and pull the receiver completely out. To replace, push in until the disc snaps into position.
ELECTRIC CLOCK
Clock is set by pulling out and turning the reset stem. When headlights or panel lights are on, a light within the clock illuminates the dial.
GLOVE COMPARTMENT
To open the door, grasp the latch knob between the index and third fingers and press the button inward with the thumb. The interior of the glove compartment will automatically light when the door is opened.
HAND BRAKE LEVER
The hand brake lever is located under the left end of the instrument panel.It is applied by a slight pull on the brake handle, and relaeesed by a slight squeeze on the troigger in the handle. Always check that the hand brake is released before starting the car.
HOOD LOCK
The "alligator-jaw" type hood opens from the front, and has a concealed lock which is operated by a control handle located to the left of the steering column. To open the hood, pull out the control handle; this releases the hood lock and raises the hood a few inches. To lift the hood, pull forward the auxiliary latch located under the hood nose. Counterbalance springs will keep the hood open in any selected position. Accidental opening of the hood when the car is in motion is prevented by the auxiliary latch.
COWL VENTILATOR LEVER
This lever is located to the right of the steering column just below the instrument panel. Push the lever down and forward to open the ventilator door. When the lever is pulled all the way back [toward the seat] and upward, and the ventilator door is locked closed.
